Lisa Kerr

Lisa Kerr is a Melbourne based painter working predominantly in acrylics, whose practice is deeply inspired by the natural world.  Training in illustration and graphic design, Lisa brings a strong sense of composition, colour and visual story telling to her paintings,  Her creative path to painting included landscape design, as seen in her understanding of natures forms, rhythms and light.

Botanically inspired abstract shapes and landscapes are central subjects in her work with particular attention given to the shifting qualities of light and atmosphere.

Drawing inspiration from Impressionism and Fauvism, Lisa uses expressive colour and mark making to evoke mood rather than literal details, inviting viewers to experience a sense of place and moment.
